BTEC's full speed ahead at AGS

November 17, 2008

September 2009 sees the further development of BTEC’s at AGS. We now offer this qualification in these subjects:

Art and Design, Hospitality and Catering, Media Studies, Performing Arts, ICT, Science, Music, Sport and Business Studies.

Each BTEC is worth 2 GCSE’s and all are entirely coursework based. We believe this is one of the most imaginative steps we have taken in modernising our curriculum. Students would agree…BTEC’s proved to be an extremely popular option choice for our current Year 10 students.

AGS in top 6!

September 15, 2008

AGS has again received recognition from the Government. This time, the school has been credited with being the 6th most improved school in England at KS3. This based on a 3 year trend and places AGS as the number 1 most improved school in the West Midlands.

We would like to thank the whole school community for being part of this incredible journey. It is a remarkable achievement.
