Rewards Scheme

August 18, 2009

We have introduced a new rewards scheme for 2009-2010. There are different schemes for Key Stages 3 and 4.

KS3

Students will be given credits for work that goes above and beyond the norm. Teachers and other staff may award up to 3 credits per lesson or activity. The credits themselves are plastic discs, pictured here. Students then pass these credits to their Form Tutors and a score will be kept. The Form Tutor returns the credits to the central store for re-cycling. We have 6,000 crdits in stock. When a student reaches a certain points total, they receive specially made badges, awarded during formal school assemblies.

Bronze = 100 points
Silver = 200 points
Gold = 300 points
Bronze + Gold or 2 x Silver = 400 points, and so on.

KS4

Students will receive Attitudes to Learning scores based upon a 9 point scale. 9 is the highest. Scores of 7 to 9 will count towards the prize draw. Here’s how it works…

For each score of 9 points, 3 tickets are etered. 8 points has 2 tickets and 7 points, 1 ticket. So, if a student achieves 9no. 9 ATL points from their subjects they have a massive 27 tickets in the prize draw. A student with 9no. 7 points has 9 tickets.

At the end of each term, we will draw 25 tickets to receive a £10 voucher for Tesco. The more tickets you are awarded, the more likely will you be drawn from the hat. Students can win as many times as they are drawn out. Even more incentive to win tickets through their Attiude to Learning cores.
